  • Building Date : 1899
  • Original Use : Residential
  • Original Owner : Jacob Rassewitz
  • Original Architect : George Frederick Pelham

Description & Building Alterations

This six-story with basement old law tenement was erected in 1899, together with the buildings on Lots 47, 49 and 50.

They were built by the same owner, Jacob Rassewitz, and designed by the same architect, George Frederick Pelham. As a result, they share the same overall design, with the facade featuring elaborate window lintels, spandrels, beltcourses, entrance enframements with a door hood, and a bracketed cornice. The cornice seems to be a replacement.

Many original facade elements, the entrance, and the historical stoop remain on this building.
