406 East 13th Street | Block : 440 | Lot #11
Description & Building Alterations
This three-story building was originally erected between 1870 and 1871 as shanties. It housed shops on the first floor and a stable on the upper floors around the turn of the 20th century. The building was also used as a factory in 1935 and was converted to residential use in 1965. The present plain facade probably dates from an alteration in 2002. The ground storefront has been significantly altered.
