Description & Building Alterations

This new building, constructed circa 2009, uses brick and light cast stone to reflect the neighborhood. Before this building was constructed, the lot had sat vacant since the 1980s and was intermittently used as a playground. It was once home to a church, constructed circa 1855, that served a Methodist congregation. By the late 1800s it was serving the Presbyterian community and in the first half of the 20th century it served the Catholic community. In the 1970s it was converted into a theater.
