Description & Building Alterations
This six-story tenement building was built in 1897 by owner Jacob Klingenstein and designed by George Frederick Pelham, who was also responsible for many other buildings in the East Village. It was to be occupied by 22 families and two stores.
The facade features an enframed entrance with a door hood, arched and pedimented window lintels, sills, and decorated beltcourses. There is also a peaked parapet.
