Description & Building Alterations

This six-story new law tenement was built in 1902 by owners Falk & Fine and designed by Bernstein & Bernstein. It was to be occupied by 22 families, with stores in the front part of the first story. One building was demolished to make way for this tenement.

The facade features light gray brick with ornate terra cotta panels and ornamentation throughout. The cornice was removed prior to the 1980s and the store front has been modernized. The building also features basket-style iron fire escapes and arched windows at the fifth story, in addition to ornamented window lintels.
