Description & Building Alterations

This building was originally constructed as a three-story Greek Revival-style row house in 1838-39. In 1899, it was raised to four stories and converted to tenements during alterations designed by architect Kurtzer & Rohl.

The facade features simple molded brownstone window lintels. The Queen Anne-style bracketed and modillioned cornice was installed in 1899. In 1941, the historical stoop was removed and the entrance moved to basement.
