This 8 story residential building was constructed in 2014 and features a brick facade over masonry construction.

This lot was originally the site of a six-story old law tenement designed by George Frederick Pelham and owned by Elias Kempner. It was built in 1901. A demolition permit was issued in 1984, which is likely when the lot became vacant (and the 1980s tax photo shows it as such).

The existing tenement next door at 533 East 11th Street was also built in 1901, designed by Pelham, and owned by Kempner. In the c. 1940 tax photo (see sidebar), both “sister” tenements are visible.
