533 East 13th Street | Block : 407 | Lot #44
Description & Building Alterations
This five-story old law tenement once had a commercial ground floor that has since been converted into residences. While four decorative pilasters were retained, the storefronts were infilled with brick and the central entry door was lowered. Originally, it would have been accessed by a stoop. The lintels on the façade are Neo-Grec in design with geometric and angular ornamentation. The cornice has been removed and metal wall anchors have been added, most likely for structural reasons.
