Description & Building Alterations

This five-story, “pre-law” tenement was built in 1860 according to tax assessment record. The straight lintels with classical moldings and bracketed pediments are typical of the Italianate style popular in the mid-nineteenth century. The wider lintels in the rightmost window bay appears to be original, but the standard window with the smaller window next to it seems atypical and may indicate some type of alteration.
