Tax records indicate that this four-story building was constructed by 1857. It features two entries, the openings of which are original to the building (the one on the right was built to lead to a rear brick structure, as indicated on the 1857 map).

In 1939 wood stairs at the rear of the building were replaced with new iron fire escapes. It appears as if the original bracketed cornice was covered or a new one was added in the latter half of the 20th century. A cornice is present in the 1980s tax photo, but it is unclear if it is the same one.
