Description & Building Alterations

This five-story with basement and store tenement was built in 1864 together with No. 327 East 5th Street, and they share the same facade design with the buildings at No. 331-333 East 5th Street.

This building at No. 329 features a molded cornice with dentils, arched window lintels and bracketed sills. In 1935, the storefronts and entrance were rebuilt, and as a result the stoop was removed. The current fire escape was also added at that time.
