Description & Building Alterations

This five-story with basement tenement was built in 1864 together with No. 329 East 5th Street. They share the same facade design with the buildings at No. 331-333 East 5th Street.

This building at No. 327 East 5th Street features a molded cornice with dentils, arched window lintels and bracketed sills. In 1906, the first floor and basement were reconfigured and a new facade was installed on these two stories that features patterned brickwork and a segmentally-arched doorway. The building has a basket-style fire escape.
