Description & Building Alterations
This six-story brick tenement was erected in 1896 for stores and 18 families, designed by the architecture firm Horenburger & Straub. The first floor stores were converted to dwellings in 1942, which resulted in a new ground floor facade.
The building’s present facade features a bracketed cornice with decorated frieze, beltcourses with foliate details, incised brick panels, molded window lintels and brick segmental arches with keystones. The entrance is flanked by fluted iron pilasters.
