Description & Building Alterations

This five-story with basement tenement was erected in 1863 by the heirs of Stephen Whitney, who purchased many properties on this block in 1825.

The present facade features the original cornice and brick frieze. The window lintels and sills have been stripped and patched. Two small windows were inserted at each story in the center of the building later in time. The stoop has been removed and the entrance moved to basement.
