311 East 10th Street | Block : 404 | Lot #50
Description & Building Alterations
This five-story brick tenement was constructed in 1853 by original owner Benjamin S. Webb.
The Italianate style facade was refaced with Queen Anne details in the late 19th century. This was a common renovation of this time and area. The highly decorated and cornice consists of brackets and modillions and the window lintels and sills are galvanized-iron, molded, and bracketed. The cornice above the ground floor is a later addition. In 1906, the building underwent an alteration designed by Otto Reissmann.
