This building was constructed in 1914 as a 25 apartment New-Law Tenement for $40,000 by Jacob B. Berger of 309 East 14th Street and was designed by architect Samuel Sass of 32 Union Square. Two older structures were demolished in order for this building to be built. In 1993 the 5th and 6th floor apartments were converted into duplexes.
