This building was constructed in 1914 as a 25 apartment New-Law Tenement for $40,000 by Jacob B. Berger of 309 East 14^th Street and was designed by architect Samuel Sass of 32 Union Square. Two older structures were demolished in order for this building to be built. In 1993 the 5^th and 6^th floor apartments were converted into duplexes.
