307 East 6th Street | Block : 448 | Lot #52
Description & Building Alterations
This four-story with basement building was originally erected as a single-family row house in 1856. It was later converted to a tenement and the height of the fourth story was increased in 1903 to benefit the family living on that floor.
The present facade features masonry molded window lintels and sills supported by brackets, and a modillioned cornice with garland frieze details. The historic entrance and stoop on the first floor have been removed and the main entry was moved to the basement in 1927.
