According to a New Building permit from 1970, this building was most likely erected as a one-story building with the rest of the floors added by 1980. Prior to this construction, a four-story brick tenement was demolished. Today, the building is a property of the Henry Street Settlement, an organization associated with the Department of Homeless Services. The organization provides housing for homeless single adult women in this building.
