Description & Building Alterations
This four story row house was built in 1853, at which point the owner was listed as Peter Beadeu. The Italianate building has lost its original lintels, but retains its cornice. In 1927, this building functioned as a charitable institution, housing the Home for Little Wanderers, which was founded by Howard Mission. It had room to house approximately 30 children and four adults. By 1944, this institution no longer resided at this address and the building was used as apartments with a kindergarten school on the first floor. Within the same year, an application was submitted that requested the kindergarten school be altered into a dwelling. The transition was completed by 1945.
