Description & Building Alterations

Originally, a four-story brick Old Law Tenement building with a store on the ground floor occupied 219 East 3rd Street.

There was also a rear building on the lot, which was three stories high and 25 feet deep. In 1930, a new building permit was filed for the lot and two new buildings were constructed. The first, on the front of the lot, was a small, one-story office for a monumental stone works company, with a footprint measuring only 10 by 20 feet. The building at the rear of the lot was also one-story, to be used as a storage shed for the company. Both buildings appear to remain standing today.
