200 Avenue A | Block : 406 | Lot #4
Description & Building Alterations
The five-story old law tenement, constructed in 1882 by architect Charles Werner, has some interesting facade details despite missing its cornice. The hood moldings and lintels above the windows feature extravagant Neo-Grec incised carving work. Though the facade would have originally been clad in brick, it is now covered in a yellow stucco. The ground floor storefront no longer retains any original features, and the parapet wall has been raised above the top floor windows.
