This five-story pre-law tenement was constructed in 1872 for owner Lorenz Rossong by architect Julius Boekell. It is Italianate in style and, as such, has simple segmental lintels that are most likely made of cast iron. The storefront appears to have been altered over the years and the cornice has been removed.
