Description & Building Alterations

This five-story brick tenement building was erected in 1867, the same period with the rest buildings in this block on First Avenue. The owner’s name is illegible on the tax assessment record for that year.

Its present facade features bracketed cornice, segmental-arched window openings with molded lintels and simple rectangular sills. The first story storefronts have been altered over the years. The north facade features a one story extension along 12th Street with engaged piers on first floor.
