180 Second Avenue | Block : 453 | Lot #4
Description & Building Alterations
This four-story structure was originally erected in 1849-50 as a row house and later it was tenementized. The first story and basement were extended to the building line in 1938, at which point the entrance was moved to the sidewalk level.
The present aluminum facing was installed on the front brick wall in 1951, during an alteration designed by Armand J. Laudadio. This included the removal of the historic bracketed cornice.
