Description & Building Alterations

The 6-story brick New-Law tenement building located at 135 Avenue D was built in 1902 for Sarah Michelson by Horenburger & Straub. The tan brick facade is enlivened by the decorative pattern made by turning some of the bricks on an angle. Additionally, the two end bays project slightly. The first floor, which still functions as stores, has been completely replaced and the metal cornice has also been removed.

What is the Building Blocks Project
