Description & Building Alterations
This six-story and basement tenement, built in 1899, was originally designed by Kurtzer & Rohl and owned by August Ruff. At a cost of $20,000, it was to be occupied by 24 families with stores in the basement.
The facade features a bracketed cornice, elaborate entrance enframements with a curved door hood and carvings, window lintels, and beltcourses. The window lintels are pedimented on the second and fourth stories’ outermost bays.
