Description & Building Alterations

This pre-law tenement building was constructed at the same time as its neighbor at 121 First Avenue. It’s likely that Robert Orr originally owned both buildings.

Similar to its neighbor, the present facade features an ornate bracketed cornice with modillions and a paneled frieze, decorated molded lintels and bracketed sills at third and fourth stories, and pedimented lintels with brackets and frieze at the second story.

An alteration application from 1953 shows that the building’s first-story storefront was to be altered from a meat and poultry shop into a bakery.
