100 Second Avenue | Block : 447 | Lot #7
Description & Building Alterations
Originally built as a three-story with garret row house of Greek Revival-style in 1847, the building went through some major alterations.
The fourth story was added in 1872, with a new cornice and window lintels. In 1906, the historic stoop was removed and the basement floor was raised to side-walk level so that a two-story storefront could be installed.
The present facade features molded window lintels, bracketed sills, and a galvanized-iron cornice with dentils and frieze panels.
