Description & Building Alterations

This five-story with basement tenement was built in 1862 by the heirs of Stephen Whitney, who purchased many properties on this block in 1825, including the buildings next to it.

The present facade features metal lintels with heavy moldings above the windows and entrance on the first floor, a brick frieze, and galvanized-iron cornice. The window lintels on the upper stories have been shaved.
