This is a four-story rowhouse constructed in 1843 (the top floor was likely added later). It has lost a large amount of its historic details.
By 1931, Rabbi A. S. Pfeffer and his wife Hani owned and lived here. They had a one-story wood-frame extension built at the rear elevation that appears to have been added to an existing three-story wood-frame extension (based on the 1916 Bromley map). At that time, there was one family per floor (the building was likely tenementized in the latter 19th century, as was common in this neighborhood).
