Description & Building Alterations

Lot 31 is occupied by a mixed-use four-story building, built as a single-family residence in 1839 for Caleb Bartlett. The facade is similar to those belonging to nos. 92-96, except this building has a double window with a shared lintel and sill at the top story. A 1872 alteration permit indicates that the building had been utilized as a dwelling with a ground floor store and would become a three-family dwelling with a new storefront.
