Description & Building Alterations

Like several of the neighboring buildings, this building was once a four-story building and built in 1849. Sometime between two alterations in 1910 and 1943 the building was reduced to a two story building. The lot was once part of William B. Astor’s holdings in 1885. The current building has a storefront painted orange with separate entrance on the left. The second floor has three double-hung windows and has no discernible ornament.
