Description & Building Alterations

This six story red brick tenement building was constructed in 1869-70. It was to be occupied by 20 families and two stores.

This building is very similar in appearance to its neighbors at No. 84 and 88 East 3rd Street. The upper stories are four bays wide and the bracketed cornice is in the Italianate style. Other features include arched window lintels and bracketed sills. The original stoop was removed and the entrance was moved from the first floor to the ground level.
