76 Second Avenue | Block : 446 | Lot #3
Description & Building Alterations
This three-story building was erected in 1928 as a cabaret and was converted into a church in 1962.
The building was labeled as 3 1/2 stories on a 1916 Bromley map, and in the 1940s tax photo the building is a half-story taller than it is today. This 1/2 floor was demolished sometime between the 1940s and 1980s, when the facade was resurfaced. It is likely that at the same time, the storefront and the window openings on each floor were reconfigured.
