Description & Building Alterations

This playground is owned by the New York City Housing Authority. A three-story row house was demolished in 1940, another three-story row house was demolished in 1957 and the third building was demolished in 1985. These lots appear to have been vacant lots in the 1980s instead of a playground, according to tax photos.

What is the Building Blocks Project
