66 East 1st Street | Block : 443 | Lot #44
Description & Building Alterations
This lot is the site of a former six-story old law tenement building built in 1899 designed by the architect George Frederick Pelham, who is also responsible for many other buildings in the village. It was one of a series of three consisting of Nos. 64, 66, and 68 East 1st Street. The tenement was demolished in 1940 by the W.P.A. Labor Demolition Project and now a one-story brick garage built in 1946 exists on the lot.
