Description & Building Alterations
This six-story old-law tenement was built in 1898, and shares a similar facade with numerous other buildings designed by George Frederick Pelham in East Village.
The facade features a rusticated brownstone base, round-arched openings at first story with splayed window lintels and an elaborate entrance enframement, decorative terra-cotta beltcourses and frieze at upper stories, window lintels with hoods and moldings, round-arched window openings with arched lintels at the fifth story and small corbelled balconettes at fifth story. The roof cornice features brackets and frieze with garlands.
