Historic tax records indicate this five story, three bay wide brick building was constructed in 1844-1845 and was owned by George Wedmaer.
In 1901 the building was occupied as a store, bakery and a two family dwelling owned by Lazar Frieder. In 1913 the bakery was gone and in 1919 the building housed another bakery, a store, photography gallery and two families. The height of the building was raised a foot and a half in 1933 by Hannah Freider.
