Description & Building Alterations

Formerly three separate lots (12, 14 and 15) these were combined into one lot on which three tenement buildings were built simultaneously om 1899. These six story buildings were built to the same design with the same owner. Built to house 22 families each, these tenements had commercial space on the ground floor. These Renaissance Revival buildings have arched window openings on the third and sixth floors and feature floral stone or terracotta details. Unfortunately, this building has lost its cornice and has a dismal altered ground floor facade.

What is the Building Blocks Project
