60 Avenue C | Block : 374 | Lot #4
Description & Building Alterations
No. 60 was built in the 1840s as a house and in 1886 a rear extension was added by owner C. Jacob Brother. At this time, the building was occupied as a tenement and a store. William Klein removed interior partitions in 1906 so that the building could be used as stores, factories and dwellings. In 1933 the occupancy changed from stores and showrooms on the first and second floors to a store only on the first floor with residential above.
