This building was constructed in 1947 by William Weiss’ Admirable Realty Corp. of 417 East Houston Street to contain two retail spaces, and the Avenue D storefronts remain intact at what was once the location of an auto repair shop. In 1955 one of the commercial spaces was occupied by a restaurant run by Chang Moy of 29 Avenue D.

Currently, the building is owned by 55-57 Ave. D Realty Corporation and contains a supermarket.

What is the Building Blocks Project
