This five-story pre-law tenement shares the same architect and construction year as its neighbor at no. 541 East 12th Street, though its original owner was different. Designed in the Neo-Grec style, the intact facade is capped by a pedimented cornice. The ground floor has been modified, but appears to have some original features, such as the cast iron column to the left of the entryway.
