This five-story Neo-Grec style tenement was built in 1886 by architects Julius Boekell & Son. The intact cornice features angular and geometric decoration typical of this style, and the ground floor facade appears to have some remaining original elements. The building shares its architect, build date, and owner with 528 East 13th Street and the demolished tenement at no. 526 East 13th Street.
