No. 50 East 4th Street is a converted rowhouse that dates from 1841-42.

The three-story with basement building formerly had a stoop, which was removed at some point between the 1940s and 1980s tax photos. The entrance is now on the street level. The building retains some original elements such as the historic cornice and wood lintels.
