Description & Building Alterations

This four-story building was originally erected between 1848 and 1850. The 1849 tax assessment record is missing, so the exact owner and date of construction are uncertain. By 1906 the building was utilized as a multiple-unit dwelling and by 1929 a business occupied the first floor. Two rear buildings also exist on this lot. The front facade features a bracketed cornice with a decorated frieze, molded window lintels with footed sills at third and fourth stories, hooded lintels and rectangular sills at the second story, and a decorated frieze above the first story. The main entry is capped by a bracketed door hood.
