Description & Building Alterations
This Italianate five-story tenement was constructed in 1852-4. It is located in the East Village/Lower East Side Historic District.
The present facade features a historic fire escape, brick parapet, stone window sills, star-shaped tie rods and historic door surround. The ground floor storefront has been altered to accommodate residential units, the window lintels on the upper floors have been shaved, and the cornice has been removed and replaced by a parapet.
