This six story tenement was built in 1902 by Louis Lippman who employed the services of architects Bernstein & Bernstein of 111 Broadway for its design. In 1942 the owner applied for permission to erect a service flag from this building spanning to 355 East 4th Street in honor of the men and women serving in World War II. In 1952 a new storefront was installed.

What is the Building Blocks Project
