320 East 3rd Street | Block : 372 | Lot #33
Description & Building Alterations
This Federal style row house with Flemish Bond brickwork on the lower two floors was constructed as a two-story house along with Lots 32 and 33. The original cornice remains, but is decaying and rusting. The c. 1940 tax photo suggests that the stoop is also original. In 1906, the interior of the building was converted to tenement apartments. In 1968, it was converted to the community facilities for Mobilization for Youth, an agency comprised of dedicated young attorneys from some of the best law schools in the country. This was the first agency of its kind at the time.
