Description & Building Alterations

This six-story tenement was built in 1903 for stores and 16 families, designed by the firm of Bernstein & Bernstein.

The present facade features beltcourses, splayed lintels with keystones, elaborately ornamented window enframements at projecting center bay, including columns, carved panels, triangular and segmental-arched pediments, brick quoins and brackets. The entrance is flanked by richly incised pilasters, and there is a simple cornice above the storefront. The original galvanized-iron roof cornice was removed prior to the 1980s.
