Description & Building Alterations
This five-story tenement was originally erected in 1891 for stores and 22 families, designed by architect John Hauser.
The facade features a bracketed cornice with garlanded frieze and an inscription “1930” in the center, rusticated brick and stone surface throughout, roping details flanking the first-story windows, molded beltcourses, recessed window lintels and molded sills, a projecting arch and decorative carvings at the fourth story’s center bay, round arches with rusticated tympanums at the fifth story, and curved moldings beneath the cornice. The historical stoop was removed in 1929.
